What is the Diifference between USB 2.0 and USB 3.0?

Today we are going to discuss about USB and difference between USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 .

Let's Begin,

·       The term USB stands For Universal Serial Bus.

·       It is the most common type of computer ports used in today’s Computers.

·       It can be used to connect Keyboards, Mice, Game Controllers, Printers, Scanners, digital Cameras, and removable media drives.

·       USB is faster than older ports, Such as Serial and parallel ports

 

There are a lot of Different kinds of USBs including the Following:-

Now we will be going to discuss the Difference between USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 because at Present only USB 2.0 and 3.0 are being used in Computers and Laptops:-

It has a BlueBlock” inside the USB port.(Red in USB 3.1)

USB 2.0 transfer speed is 480Megabits Per Second(Mbps)

USB 3.0 transfer speed is 4800 Megabits Per Second (Mbps) 10 times faster than USB 2.0.(USB 3.1 has Data Transfer Rate of 10,000 Mbps)

If USB 2.0 or Earlier Versions are connected to USB 3.0 port, the Drive will work normally.

But if USB 3.0 version are Connected to USB 2.0 it will work but as like as USB 2.0 not as USB 3.0.

USB 2.0 is capable of providing up to 500mA current.

Whereas USB 3.0  is capable of providing up to 900 mA.

5.

Cost is Less.

Cost is High.
